After Effects Integration

    This guide will show you how to use the mask exported from Vollage in After Effects to isolate your object from the background.

    Step 1

    Import and prepare your files in After Effects

    1. Importing Files

    • Start by opening After Effects and creating a new project
    • Make sure that the extracted mask file is ready to be used
    • Drag and drop the original video file and the object folder to the project

    2. Setting Up the Mask Frame

    • Right-click on your mask PNG file
    • Select Interpret Footage > Main
    • In the settings menu, adjust the frame rate to match your original video
    • Press OK to confirm the changes

    Step 2

    Apply the mask to your video using Track Matte

    1. Setting Up Track Matte

    • Drag the imported mask file above your video in the timeline
    • Position it to align perfectly with your footage
    • Select your main video layer
    • In the TrkMat dropdown menu, select Luma Matte

    2. Final Adjustments

    • Ensure the mask and video are properly aligned
    • Preview the result by pressing the spacebar
    • Make any necessary timing adjustments
